SORACOM is headquartered in Japan but takes a global perspective as a company that contributes to society through technology innovation in IoT and AI.
Since our founding, we have aimed to create a platform business that is global like the cloud. We consider a platform to be an open and accessible common foundation that anyone with an idea can use to fulfill their vision. The advent of the cloud in the 2000s significantly reduced the initial costs of bringing great ideas to market, enabled a new generation of innovative startups, and drove a sea change in enterprise computing. Inspired by this impact, we launched the SORACOM IoT platform to deliver the same disruptive capability for IoT.

Initially, we thought IoT technology would primarily benefit devices in vehicles and industrial equipment. However, in offering SORACOM, we have been fortunate to witness innovative customers with great ideas using technology to solve social issues as well.

As Soracom marks its 10th anniversary, we have embraced a unified global vision: “Making Things Happen for a World That Works Together.”
To achieve the significant goal of being "a platform used worldwide," we have established 15 "Leadership Statements" for all SORACOM employees to act as leaders, and we drive our business with a diverse team that resonates with these ideas and embodies leadership.
