Soracom upholds the vision of “Making Things Happen for a world that works together” and the mission of “Democratization of IoT.” In pursuit of these goals, Soracom is committed to creating an environment where every employee can thrive as their authentic self, maintain physical and mental well-being, and build a fulfilling career. Soracom places respect for human rights at the core of its management philosophy, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture that encourages open communication and continuous self-development.
Soracom strives to make the world a better place by driving discontinuous innovation through mobile and cloud technology innovation, toward a society where all people and things resonate with one another.
To achieve this vision, Soracom values 15 guiding principles known as its “Leadership Statements.” Every member at Soracom is regarded as a leader. By thinking, discussing, and acting based on these statements, team members contribute to business growth and foster the development of future leaders.
Under the principle of "Everyone is a leader," Soracom operates as an organization where every employee is expected to exercise leadership regardless of title or tenure. The Leadership Statements (LS) serve as a shared set of behavioral benchmarks across the entire company — a common language embedded in daily work, hiring, evaluation, compensation, development, and promotion. This framework underpins the distinctive culture that defines Soracom.
Soracom conducts 360-degree reviews comprising Self Review, Peer Review, and Upward Review, providing employees with feedback from multiple perspectives. Performance is assessed along two dimensions: "what was achieved (results)" and "how it was achieved (leadership)." This approach makes visible not only outcomes that are easy to measure, but also longer-term and less tangible contributions to the organization. An evaluation committee ensures fairness, consistency, and transparency across the company.
Soracom supports employees in setting their own goals and growing continuously and autonomously. To enable high-frequency feedback, the company has built structured cycles including semi-annual feedback sessions, weekly check-ins, and regular one-on-ones. When a gap arises between expected roles and actual outcomes, managers and employees collaborate to identify the issue, develop solutions, and execute them together — enabling early and systematic resolution of challenges and accelerating a return to growth.
Evaluation results are reflected in annual salary adjustments and promotions. Compensation ranges are defined by job level, enabling flexible and responsive recognition commensurate with each employee's responsibilities and contributions.

As the convergence of AI and IoT accelerates, Soracom positions AI as central to its products. We aim to create new value for customers by connecting IoT data collected from the physical world with AI capabilities. Internally, we actively leverage generative AI in our day-to-day operations and disseminate the practical knowledge gained throughout the organization, enabling us to continuously develop and strengthen our workforce’s AI literacy.
As an AI/IoT connectivity platform supporting the critical infrastructure of many customers, information security is fundamental to Soracom’s business. We have established a company-wide framework to embed ISMS operations across all departments, while recruiting and developing security specialists. At the same time, we are cultivating an organizational culture in which every employee takes personal ownership of information security and acts accordingly.
Under our mission of “Democratizing Technology,” Soracom values recruiting and developing people who remain at the cutting edge — not only in AI, but across the full spectrum of cloud-native technologies, telecommunications, and other advanced fields. We ensure technical excellence by fostering a culture of continuous learning: through speaking at and attending technical conferences, engaging with the broader external community, and participating in regularly held in-house study sessions.
Soracom operates on a global scale, with employees of diverse nationalities and backgrounds working together. To drive business not only in Japan but across our overseas offices, and to deliver new value to customers worldwide, we recruit, develop, and promote talent with a global mindset — individuals who thrive in teams composed of people with varied perspectives, personalities, and backgrounds.
